Building high-performance teams
Building High performance teams. Leadership. Team Building.
Building a high-performance team doesnโt happen by chance. It requires effort, consistency, and a systematic approach. I introduce to you my personal H.E.A.P. model as a guide: ๐น ๐ - ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด : Get this right, and everything else is easier. Donโt rush just to ease short-term pain. Remember that the pain of waiting for the right person is nothing compared to the chaos of hiring the wrong one. Create a sense of mission. An engaged team identifies with the team's goals, not just their individual tasks. When individuals feel connected to a bigger goal and understand โwhyโ their work matters, they are more committed and perform better. Maintain parity, and match tasks to experience levels and growth potential. The trick is to challenge your people enough without setting them up for failure. The more effort you put in, the more experienced you become at this critical skill. Reward and recognize your top performers. Equally important - don't shy away from direct, candid conversations with low performers. Avoiding dealing with low performers just delays the problem while hurting the whole team. This H.E.A.P. model isnโt revolutionary, but it works. When used with consistency, this will help you build a team that consistently delivers outstanding results.
